Years and years ago, I had a dream that I was in a diner in the middle of nowhere. The woman who ran the place served steaming bowls of primordial soup, which she got directly from a hole in her kitchen where the primordial soup of creation hadn't yet hardened. The soup was known for its rejuvenative qualities. This dream has stuck with me all these years. This blog is my attempt to follow the path that leads me to Flora's Pond, to find what feeds my body and soul. I hope you enjoy it.

The Perfect Chair!!
I've been wanting a good chair for my worktable. I like being up higher, partly because I'm tall-ish and partly just because I like it. I thought a barstool would work, so I've been keeping my eyes open for one. I found this one today at a thrift store. It's solid pine, very sturdy and heavy. It's just the right height and was only 8 bucks!!! The room is coming together bit by bit.

I'm a tall guy so I know how important it is to find comfort when you're doing your art. How do those trestle-style table legs work for you? I'd be hitting them all the time with my long legs.
It's what I have right now and takes down easily when we have guests. Luckily, I don't usually work on large pieces.
