Years and years ago, I had a dream that I was in a diner in the middle of nowhere. The woman who ran the place served steaming bowls of primordial soup, which she got directly from a hole in her kitchen where the primordial soup of creation hadn't yet hardened. The soup was known for its rejuvenative qualities. This dream has stuck with me all these years. This blog is my attempt to follow the path that leads me to Flora's Pond, to find what feeds my body and soul. I hope you enjoy it.

Fabric Time!!
I've had the gold silk with pearls for a long time. Gorgeous stuff. I can't even remember where I got it, probably some theater or other or scraps from the display company. I thought it would make a good sash, but I didn't have anything for a coat. I thought brown velvet or velveteen would be good. I went to our local wacky fabric store and found exactly what I was looking for in their upholstery section of mill ends. I'll put him in a white silk shirt with maybe some lace. I have some old kid gloves that won't fit any human on the planet I might use for his spats. We'll see...
